Edward, George W., & Samuel (Willie) Chester
Edward Chester (Eddie), was born in Ulster County, White Plains or Stone Ridge, New York, September 27, 1881 to a family of twelve children. During a typhoid epidemic seven perished including the parents, leaving seven orphaned children.
On January 9, 1890, Eddie arrived on an Orphan Train in Hebron, Nebraska, and was selected by Julius Thomas.
However, I have a letter written to him by an older sister dated February 1891, and sent to him in care of Sanford Jones, Quitman, Missouri, Nodaway County.
November 19, 1912, he married Jennie Bakeman Beaty. He died October 15, 1952 in Grand Island, Nebraska. He served with the medical corps in world War I and also resided in Montrose and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and Wayne, Nebraska.
On the same orphan Train with him was his 12 year old brother, George W. Chester, who was selected by H. L. Albright and his 15 year old brother William Samuel (Willie) Chester, who was selected by J. A. Kinny.
