Del Faeh
CENTRAL CITY - Del Faeh, 89, Of Central City, died Sunday, March 27, 1994, at Community Care Center in Central City.
Services will be at 2pm Wednesday at the United Presbyterian Church in Central City. The Rev. Lance Ziegler will officiate. Burial will be in the Central City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9am to noon at the Solt Funeral Home in Central City and from noon until time of service at the church.
Mr. Faeh was born in New York. At the age of 8, he came to Nebraska on an "Orphan Train" and was adopted by Henry and Lillian Faeh. He grew up in the Republican City and Alma area, where he was an honor student and graduated from Republican City High School in 1923.
He married Wilma Potter on March 17, 1926, in Alma. They farmed in the Republican City area until 1940, when they moved to Wood River and farmed. In 1945 they moved to Central City, where he farmed, owned the Massey-Harrison dealership and did custom combining and construction work. He retired in the 1960's but continued to help with farming.
He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and the Mariners, was a leader for Boy Scouts and an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Wendell and Dennis of Central City and Larry of El Paso, TX; one daughter, Ann Elkjer of Payson, AZ., 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Corrine Crossgrove, one sister, and one stepbrother, Dick Faeh.
