A first time attendee at the Louisiana reunion July 12 and 13 were Jeanette and David Woods of Fort Worth, Texas. Jeanette's mother, one uncle and an aunt were all OTR's from the Children's Aid Society. One ill uncle, who was sent to a hospital, was lost and never found.
Helen Louise (Forshee), Jeanette's mother, was an older child and "never could place herself," Jeanette said, until she married John Albert Stevenson. Helen's sister Anna E. Forshee and brother Samuel J. Forshee were taken in by the Binion family.
The Forshee children," Jeanette said, "moved with their parents into the home of their Grandmother. After both parents had died, and as the grandmother could not take care of herself, much less four young children, the Forshee children were taken from the grandmother."
